Poetic vibes
Poetic vibes I
forced on English teachers,
Potential girlfriends and shamans, forgive me.
Musicians, music lovers, never mind the common
Thread I bore you with, exploring my stitch.
it’s just the hook of an old theme I continue
To wear down and out, unaware that my itch
Of universal tone and stimulation is not the vibe
That connects all rhythms of life, love and need.
The
rare exception is my fantasy,
A lonely seed of an idea never shared.
My
best vibrations are blown to the multitude
While every good urge came from you, my muse.
The
words are gone but not the surge,
Feelings I refuse to let go still entice me.
Paradise shrinks to a mere closet,
A tiny lunchroom for moth and hanger.
Just once while the drum’s still banging
I'd like to see you nearby as I close my eyes,
And when my solo is done, my love, you
Would still be there to hear it through.
