The Fuzzy Pink Line

It appears on a weather map as a fuzzy pink line
where conditions meet and differ with intense
contrast, perhaps blurring the line between safe
harbor and howling disaster, a line which many
folks cross when they seek hollow and hamlet
away from storms with dire sounding names like
Saturn, Triton, Ukko and Xerxes, reducing the
Sandy experience to a mere day on the beach.

The minimalists love to marginalize when the
calls come in with exaggerated claims of hell
breaking loose and no one believes you. Even
if TV pictures tell you to obey civil authorities,
you may soon find yourself caught in a bigger
banner of news jargon that canít be understood
unless you were there and happened to survive.

The fuzzy pink line could easily overtake you
and leave you stranded in a morass of tangle
and debris, bobbing helpless in a whorl of all
your hard work and worldly possessions where
rescue may be out of the question, no help in
sight on a bleak horizon of more hell to come.
Thumb every icon, but NO ONE can help you.
