STIRRING UP THE BOTTOM
We have started a poetry revival in historic Shockoe bottom and shall continue to stir it here on the 
World Wide Web.

4AM Off-World Messages  ▲§●╬∑
 
Just because you can't sleep, shouldn't put you
in the awkward category of a UFO hunter or those
alien conspiracy devotees who wait up for signs.
Science channel or not, worthwhile entertainment
at that hour is limited to the Bible, Hitler, murder,
and glam, and I will not sink to murder or glam.
 
Some programs are just as good with the sound
turned off so that others can sleep undisturbed. 
TV animations test your belief with nodding eyes
revealing that when an ancient comet struck the
earth a manual of life was left behind, that God’s  
own method of our creation lay hidden in comets.

To prove His recipe the pudding calls for, get this,

one spent cigar butt, one dirty sock and a shot
of Jack Daniels. Is the sanctity of life in deep
question or is it just the scent that stays on it?
Scans of comet fragments from space and
white tube worms from sulfuric ocean vents
indicate that hellish locations gave rise to life.

Furthermore, the hotter the origin the more our
residue smells like white lightning. Science may
prefer that God lacked anything to do with the
birth of creation, though cosmic toasters played
one hell of a role. 4 AM, your off-world messages
ghost through walls and make me wax poetic.
