Discipline

SAX LIFE - Wax Photo Poetic

world of art          artsy party              meditation

self exam                love VA                  hot sax

Discipline, my bed of nails, my world of art and meditation
useful at artsy parties, hot sax driven, but not the reason for intense self exam which reveals Virginia clay, all my
seasons aligned with painterly intent, the least of its art evident when the party agenda gets going, the corners of lost souls and flowers peeling from the walls have more in common with clay than commonwealth, the secret location of the world of art known only to seekers of that electric
mountain on which our trails and trials are based, the up,
over and through, a difficult translation, its cave a guarded legend full of childhood wonder and destructive irony nowhere to be found on maps and roadside lookouts.

How do you string together enough common speaking terms to convey the need to self assign and self assess that which defies convention, to invent the very thing that makes you want to keep working, the endless project with a thousand different endings and revisions of endings. How do you explain the energy you need and the energy you get from such a process. Imagination does not serve it well enough to claim all the credit. Most will call it an effort of diminishing returns, certainly no income to be expected but much expense with vendors frothing to sell you more gimmicks, gunk and glue pots than you can keep up with in a lifetime of must have and still have not.
